A Winning Tradition 

This club is built around a winning tradition, an appeal for social gatherings and a common interest in the game of Rugby.

New members of all ages and experience are encouraged to join today!


  1. The Rebels were established on St. Patrick's Day 2001
  2. Founder and Team Captain is Jay Kimler of Montgomery
  3. Team is currently a member of the Metro NY Rugby Union
  4. We have both a men's and a women's Rugby team  
  5. Players come  from all over the Hudson Valley and Tri-State area 
  6. Rebels are role models for other members of their community



Our History
January 2001
 A group of gentlemen meet at a bar in Montgomery, NY to discuss the creation of a Hudson Valley Rugby team.


November 2004
 Hudson Valley Rebels find themselves finishing for the first time with a winning record in Division III play after only be established for a few years.

April 2006
 Rebels will appear for it's first Division III Semi-final match against Portland, ME to move onto the regional tournament in Syracuse.
